Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav revealed plans for an industrial investment exceeding Rs 11,500 crore in Datia during his BJP campaign for the Assembly bypoll. The initiative aims to enhance industrial growth and generate substantial employment opportunities in the area. Yadav, speaking to the Kushwaha community, highlighted the significance of the upcoming project for district development.
The Chief Minister refrained from divulging specific project details due to the Model Code of Conduct but assured that it would be a significant step forward for Datia. He emphasized that within the next month, a new industrial plant with a substantial investment would be established, promising to create fresh job prospects for the youth. The BJP intensified its campaign efforts for the Datia Assembly bypoll, with senior party members rallying support to secure the seat.
As part of the campaign, Chief Minister Yadav led a roadshow in support of BJP candidate Ashutosh Tiwari, accompanied by former state Home Minister Narottam Mishra and other party leaders. The BJP’s focus on development initiatives for farmers, women, and the underprivileged was reiterated during the campaign, with Yadav also highlighting plans to transform the Gwalior region into a telecommunications hub. The constituency witnessed an intense political contest with both BJP and Congress deploying their top leadership for the bypoll.
The Datia Assembly bypoll was necessitated by the disqualification of former Congress MLA Rajendra Bharti following a court conviction. Polling for the seat is scheduled for July 30, with vote counting set for August 3.
