Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh distributed the 37th installment of the ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana’, transferring Rs 1,835 crore directly to the bank accounts of more than 1.25 crore beneficiary women in the state. This move, done with a single click during a public event in Kesli, aims to enhance women’s financial empowerment and self-reliance.
During the event, CM Yadav also allocated 53 development projects worth around Rs 190.85 crore to the Deori Assembly constituency. These projects, including new initiatives and completed ventures, are set to improve infrastructure and public amenities in the region. Additionally, the Chief Minister criticized the Congress for its alleged neglect of women’s economic upliftment.
The ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana’ remains a significant welfare scheme in Madhya Pradesh, providing financial aid to women from economically weaker backgrounds. The eligibility criteria include an annual family income below Rs 2.5 lakh, no family member in government service, limited agricultural landholding, and specific age brackets for women to apply. This scheme has been instrumental in strengthening women financially and fostering self-reliance across the state.
Chief Minister Yadav’s emphasis on welfare programs and development initiatives underscores the government’s dedication to inclusive growth and bolstering local infrastructure. The Ladli Behna Yojana has already made a substantial impact by empowering numerous women economically and promoting self-sufficiency.
