Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav highlighted the importance of digitally empowered judicial systems in enhancing transparency and expediting justice for the public. Speaking at an event organized by the Madhya Pradesh High Court in Jabalpur, he emphasized the need for integrating technology into the judicial process. The High Court introduced various digital platforms and services to streamline legal procedures, enhance transparency, and simplify court services for litigants, lawyers, and law enforcement agencies.
The Chief Minister underscored the significance of technology and innovation in the current era, stressing the necessity for the judicial system to embrace digital transformation. He praised the newly launched integrated digital platform by the High Court for its potential to reduce paperwork, enhance judicial record management, and accelerate case resolutions. Yadav expressed confidence that technological integration would bolster the credibility of the justice system, ensuring prompt and transparent delivery of justice.
Yadav also mentioned the state’s progress towards efficient governance through technology-driven initiatives, such as the establishment of cyber tehsils, digitization of Cabinet proceedings, and the CM Helpline for swift resolution of public grievances. Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court, Sanjeev Sachdeva, lauded the new digital systems for facilitating rapid and transparent information sharing, thereby minimizing delays in legal processes. He highlighted the benefits of the initiative, including instant access to certified e-copies of judgments and court orders through the digital platform.
The event witnessed the launch of several key initiatives, including the Courtroom Live Audio-Visual Streaming System (CLASS) for live streaming of court proceedings, a new High Court portal, and the AI-enabled data management system “Pratham.” The initiative received accolades from Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant, Union Minister of Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal, and senior judges from the Supreme Court and Madhya Pradesh High Court.
