Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav officially opened the newly constructed ‘Pashupatinath Lok’ at the Ashtamukhi Lord Pashupatinath Temple complex in Mandsaur. The religious corridor, built on the banks of the Sivna river, cost Rs 25 crore. Inspired by Mahakal Lok, it showcases statues of Lord Shiva’s family and a large ‘Damru’ to attract devotees.
The complex boasts a 22-foot-tall ‘Trinetra’ adorned with Rudraksha beads, an amphitheatre, a waiting area, and an attractive entrance gate. Additionally, it features gardens, a pond, devotional shops, and a restaurant for visitors. An open-air theatre has been set up for cultural and theatrical performances, while facilities like a waiting hall and a first-aid room cater to devotees’ convenience.
Chief Minister Yadav inaugurated the first phase of the project and announced that funds for the second phase of development will be allocated soon. He also visited a picture exhibition displaying the temple’s history and current state. The 22-feet-high Trinetra Rudrakani, a significant attraction, symbolizes the divine ‘Trinetra’ form of Lord Shiva.
“Pashupatinath Lok is a significant faith center in Mandsaur, now developed in a grander and more attractive form,” said Chief Minister Yadav. The Lok, situated by the Shivna River, has been enhanced with four entrance gates for smoother devotee movement. The Shri Pashupatinath Lok now includes facilities like a satsang hall, gardens, Shiv Stambh, mural wall, selfie point, and well-planned pathways, transforming it into a well-organized pilgrimage destination.
