Stand-up comedian Vir Das, known for his acting, steps into directing with ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’, a spy comedy film. The film, set to stream on Netflix from April 1, promises a unique blend of madness and self-awareness. Vir Das expressed excitement about the film reaching audiences in their personal spaces, expecting diverse reactions to its humor and chaos.

Co-starring Mona Singh, Imran Khan, and Mithila Palkar, with a special cameo by Aamir Khan, the movie combines satire, meta-humor, and character-driven comedy. ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’ had its theatrical release on January 16, 2026, marking Imran Khan’s comeback after a decade. The story revolves around Happy Patel, the son of British secret agents, who embarks on a mission in Goa, discovering his Indian roots along the way.

Vir Das, with a versatile career spanning films like ‘Badmaash Company’ and ‘Delhi Belly’, is also known for his stand-up comedy and Netflix specials. His accolades include winning the 2023 International Emmy Award for Best Comedy Series.
