Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav initiated the ‘School Chalen Hum’ campaign from a school in Bhopal to promote universal school enrollment and quality education. The four-day campaign, running from April 1 to April 4, aims to encourage children across the state to attend school, ensuring no child is left behind.
Aligned with ‘Pravesh Utsav’, the campaign focuses on distributing over 5.6 crore textbooks, literacy workbooks, and bridge courses to students. It reflects the state government’s dedication, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, to nurture an educated future generation.
During the state-level Praveshotsav, CM Yadav praised the advancements in the education sector, emphasizing the government’s support for students. He commended the efforts of teachers, parents, and the education department, leading to a zero dropout rate at the primary level and a notable increase in school enrollment.
The establishment of Sandipani Vidyalayas and PM-SHRI Schools as exemplary institutions has seen a shift towards government-run schools. Under the National Education Policy 2020, the government is distributing new textbooks and aids to students, enhancing their learning experience and easing daily commutes.
CM Yadav highlighted the government’s commitment to marginalized sections, with initiatives like hostels for Scheduled Caste students and rewards for meritorious students. The state has simplified admission processes and recruited teachers to ensure a conducive learning environment, aiming to enroll 1.45 crore students in the current session.
