In a video, Poonam clarified, “Guys, thank you for the wishes, but I’m not pregnant. Today is April Fool’s Day.”
Poonam explained her actions, stating, “It was a prank. In times of stress and conflict, I wanted to bring some entertainment. I’m Theri Poonam Pandey, and I like to surprise you. Let’s not take life too seriously. Just relax, okay? I’m a bit upset about April Fool’s Day.”
On March 31, Poonam shared images of her fake baby bump along with pregnancy-related emojis. In a previous incident in 2024, she falsely claimed her death from cervical cancer on social media, later revealing it was a stunt to raise awareness about the disease, sparking controversy.
Poonam Pandey gained fame through her social media presence, especially on Twitter, where she posted provocative photos. She made headlines by promising to strip if the Indian national cricket team won the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Additionally, in 2017, she launched an app called the Pandey App featuring adult content.
Poonam married Sam Ahmed Bombay in 2020 in a private ceremony due to the pandemic, but later accused him of assault, leading to his arrest in Goa.
