Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav greeted Padma Shri recipients Kailash Chandra Pant and Mohan Nagar at his official residence in Bhopal. He commended them for their accomplishments and honored them with shawls and an idol of Lord Mahakal. Pant, a senior litterateur and journalist from Sagar district, is being recognized for his exceptional contributions to Hindi literature. Mohan Nagar, a social worker from Rajgarh district, is acknowledged for his environmental conservation efforts.
The Padma Shri awardees were among four individuals from Madhya Pradesh chosen for the prestigious accolade. Pant, aged 89, expressed his joy and pride in receiving the award, emphasizing its significance for Hindi literature and education. Mohan Nagar, currently serving as Vice-President of the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad, is actively involved in environmental and educational initiatives in Betul district.
In addition to Pant and Nagar, Bhagwan Das Raikwar (Sports) and Narayan Vyas (Archaeology) are the other two Padma Shri recipients from Madhya Pradesh this year.
