Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav highlighted the state’s progress in attracting technology investments, particularly in artificial intelligence, data centers, and semiconductor manufacturing. He mentioned that commitments from previous tech conclaves had been fulfilled, with significant investment proposals and industrial unit inaugurations. The state, traditionally known for agriculture and mining, is now diversifying into sectors like defense manufacturing and renewable energy.
Yadav emphasized the government’s dedication to advancing technology-based industries, with a focus on AI, data centers, and semiconductors. Notably, during an event, he inaugurated industrial units, witnessed a key MoU signing, and announced plans for IT parks in Indore and Bhopal. Additionally, a Semiconductor Centre of Excellence is set to be established to enhance skill development in the semiconductor field.
Chief Secretary Anurag Jain mentioned that substantial investments in the digital and technology sector had already been implemented in Madhya Pradesh. Major technology companies participating in the conclave are expected to propose investments exceeding Rs 40,000 crore. Notable announcements include a Spain-based group’s plan for a data center and a semiconductor company’s Rs 6,000 crore investment in the state.
The tech conclave convened government officials, industry leaders, and technology firms to explore investment opportunities in Global Capability Centres, data centers, and semiconductor manufacturing within Madhya Pradesh.
