Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel is set to address the people of the state on January 25, ahead of the 77th Republic Day. The address will be broadcast from Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal. It will be aired on Doordarshan and all 17 All India Radio stations in Madhya Pradesh at 8 p.m. on January 25.
On Republic Day, Governor Patel will raise the national flag and take the salute at the main state-level event at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal. The final rehearsal for the joint parade and cultural programs for Republic Day was conducted at the same venue in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police Kailash Makwana.
The main ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. on January 26, with Governor Mangubhai Patel as the chief guest. The state government has announced the list of chief guests for Republic Day celebrations across Madhya Pradesh. Governor Patel will lead the celebrations in Bhopal, while Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will do so in Ujjain.
Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar will oversee the celebrations in Gwalior, and Deputy Chief Ministers Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla will be chief guests in Indore and Sagar, respectively. Cabinet ministers have also been assigned to hoist the national flag in various districts on Republic Day.
