The Madhya Pradesh Police have apprehended 32 individuals in Bhopal, dismantling an inter-state gang involved in theft across states like Mumbai and Rajasthan. Police Commissioner Harinarayanchari Mishra disclosed that the operation was a success following reports from various states about the criminal network. Recovered items include mobile phones, two-wheelers, and electronic devices. The accused were engaged in criminal activities not only in Madhya Pradesh but also in other states nationwide.
When a raid was conducted in Bhopal’s Nishatpura area, the criminals, including the alleged mastermind Raju Irani, attempted to resist, using women and children as shields. Despite this, the police managed to arrest the accused without any major incident. Mishra highlighted the organized nature of the gang’s criminal activities, which spanned multiple states. Irani, a key figure in the network, has been linked to various criminal cases in Bhopal and other regions.
The police are currently interrogating the arrested individuals to uncover more members of the gang operating in different states. Mishra emphasized the importance of sharing information with police from other states to identify and apprehend additional culprits involved in the criminal network.
