In a significant administrative reorganization, the Madhya Pradesh General Administration Department has transferred 26 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to new positions temporarily. The move aims to enhance efficiency across sectors like home affairs, tourism, health, and tribal development.
Among the changes, officers like Shivshekhar Shukla and Umakant Umrao have been reassigned to key roles. Shukla, a 1994-batch officer, now serves as Additional Chief Secretary in the home department, while Umrao, a 1996-batch officer, takes on the role of Principal Secretary in the animal husbandry and dairy department.
Shobhit Jain, a 2000-batch officer, transitions to Principal Secretary in the AYUSH department. John Kingsly AR, a 2004-batch officer, moves to Secretary in horticulture and food processing. Several other officers have also been reassigned to different departments and additional responsibilities.
Vishesh Garhpale, Alok Kumar Singh, Anay Dwivedi, and others from various batches have been given new roles and additional charges in different departments. The reshuffle includes officers from batches ranging from 1994 to 2018, each taking on fresh responsibilities in the state administration.
