A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised swift justice in the alleged NEET paper leak case by introducing Fast Track Courts, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to set up four such courts in the state. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that these courts will be located in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, and Jabalpur to ensure prompt resolution of cases and timely justice. The move comes in response to the nationwide uproar over the NEET paper leak, with students demanding a fair investigation and strict action against those responsible.

The Chief Minister stated that these Fast Track Courts will accelerate the hearing of various cases, especially those involving youth. Emphasizing the need for quick disposal of cases, he highlighted that the courts in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, and Jabalpur will focus on expediting cases related to youth to ensure timely justice. This decision marks the first significant state-level action following the Prime Minister’s announcement and aims to bolster the judicial system for faster case resolution.

Amidst the ongoing controversy, thousands of students have gathered in New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, urging accountability in the examination process and measures to protect aspirants’ futures. The protests took a political turn when the Congress accused the BJP-led Centre of using excessive force against demonstrators and called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. In response, the Centre reiterated its commitment to prioritizing students’ interests and pledged strict legal action against those involved in any irregularities.

The Madhya Pradesh government is set to release detailed guidelines on the operations and jurisdiction of the new Fast Track Courts in the upcoming days. This proactive step by the state government aligns with the national focus on ensuring efficient case resolution and upholding justice for all.
