Madonna explained that her knee lacks cartilage because of years of dancing in high heels and engaging in intense physical activities like Ashtanga yoga.
She mentioned that she has had to adjust her fitness routine to accommodate her knee injury. Madonna no longer engages in activities that put excessive strain on her joints, such as jumping on trampolines. Instead, she now focuses on workouts like Peloton bikes, the Versa Climber, and high-intensity circuit training. Madonna also enjoys outdoor biking and dancing to stay active.
Madonna emphasized that despite her injury, she continues to work out regularly. She finds motivation in her new album, Confessions II, which she described as relentless and great for keeping her body moving. The singer-songwriter has been open about her knee issues and how they have impacted her career, including having to postpone a show in 2019 due to her health.
