Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis responded to opposition criticism regarding the NEET paper leak by urging them to bring the issue to Parliament instead of engaging in what he called “street politics.” Fadnavis emphasized the importance of parliamentary debate in addressing student concerns and holding the government accountable through democratic means.
Fadnavis called out Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the opposition, challenging them to participate in a constructive dialogue in Parliament if they genuinely care about students. He highlighted the need for actionable ideas and accountability within the democratic framework for effective solutions in the students’ interest.
The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts, citing the establishment of fast-track courts to address paper leak incidents and ensure smooth conduct of exams like the NEET re-examination. Fadnavis emphasized the significance of dialogue and constitutional processes in resolving issues affecting students.
Addressing the opposition’s stance on the paper leak controversy, Fadnavis criticized the Congress party for evading debates and accountability. He pointed out past paper leak scandals in states like Karnataka, Telangana, and Rajasthan under Congress rule, highlighting the need for transparency and responsible governance in addressing such issues.
