Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Harshwardhan Sapkal has challenged the BJP and the NCP to step down from power before making accusations against each other. He criticized the alliance of BJP, Shinde Sena, and Ajit Pawar’s NCP, accusing them of being in power solely for personal gains. Sapkal highlighted the ongoing blame game between Ajit Pawar and the BJP, urging them to relinquish power if they only intend to trade allegations.
At a press conference in Pune, Sapkal pointed out the mutual accusations of corruption between Ajit Pawar and the BJP. He emphasized the need for accountability, suggesting that Ajit Pawar should resign or the BJP should withdraw support from his party. Sapkal criticized the lack of morality in the ruling parties, stating that they are tarnishing Pune’s historical and cultural legacy.
Highlighting Pune’s rich heritage, Sapkal expressed concern over the city’s current issues such as drug trade, criminal gangs, and corruption. He called upon the people of Pune to uphold the city’s true essence and work towards restoring its cultural and educational prominence. In response to a query, Sapkal criticized the BJP, labeling it as a party that accommodates individuals with questionable backgrounds, including criminals.
