Shinde dispelled speculations arising from the lack of a clear majority in the BMC elections by affirming the alliance’s mayoral appointments.
Shinde emphasized the trust placed by Mumbai citizens in the Sena-BJP alliance and assured that decisions would align with this mandate. He urged the public to disregard rumors and reiterated that Mahayuti Mayors would be installed in all Municipal Corporations where the alliance competed. The Deputy CM dismissed talks of new political alignments, affirming the representation of Shiv Sena-BJP-RPI Mahayuti in Mumbai and beyond.
Addressing newly elected BMC corporators, Shinde urged them to capitalize on the voters’ trust by focusing on development. He encouraged proactive engagement with constituents, completion of pending projects, and the formulation of comprehensive development plans. Shinde stressed the importance of public welfare initiatives, cleanliness drives, infrastructure proposals, and enhanced healthcare services in the wards.
Instructing corporators to prioritize citizen welfare and community engagement, Shinde emphasized the importance of responsiveness and effective governance. He criticized the Shiv Sena-UBT alliance, emphasizing the public’s preference for development. Shinde underscored the need for corporators to support Mahayuti government initiatives, such as Pagdi-free Mumbai and OC issuance for eligible buildings, highlighting the alliance between Shiv Sena and BJP.
