Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has started gearing up for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 season. Dhoni, aged 44, will be playing for Chennai Super Kings for the 17th time. Recently, a video shared by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association on social media showed Dhoni in the nets, padded up and batting.
The JSCA referred to Dhoni as their pride, captioning the post on Instagram with, “Look who is back. Pride of JSCA: Mahendra Singh Dhoni.” In the video, Dhoni is seen preparing for the nets while conversing with JSCA secretary Saurabh Tiwary.
Having retired from international cricket in 2020, except for the IPL, Dhoni remains a crucial player for CSK. He is known for his leadership skills and has led the team to five titles during his captaincy tenure.
