Left-handed batsmen Mahipal Lomror and Anuj Rawat guided Income Tax to a six-wicket triumph over Bank of Baroda in the 20th DY Patil T20 Cup match at the DY Patil Stadium in Nerul. Chasing Bank of Baroda’s total of 164/5, Lomror and Rawat’s partnership of 119 runs for the second wicket paved the way for Income Tax’s win in the preparatory tournament for the upcoming IPL season.
Lomror remained unbeaten on 78 off 39 balls, including five fours and five sixes, while Rawat contributed 59 off 34 deliveries with six boundaries and three sixes. Income Tax comfortably chased down the target with 29 balls to spare.
In the same tournament, at the DY Patil University Ground, Jain Irrigation defeated DTDC by six wickets by successfully chasing down 199 runs with three balls remaining. Captain Jay Bista played a crucial role with 62 off 40 balls, supported by Nehal Wadhera who scored 49 off 30 balls. DTDC’s Gautam Wagela top-scored with an unbeaten 76 off 42 balls in their total of 198/3, but it wasn’t enough for victory.
