India’s Maini brothers had a successful weekend in European motorsport. Kush Maini secured a podium finish in the FIA Formula 2 Feature Race at Silverstone, while his elder brother Arjun Maini claimed his first podium of the 2026 DTM season at Germany’s Norisring.
Kush, driving for ART Grand Prix, qualified third for the Formula 2 Feature Race, starting eighth on the grid for Saturday’s Sprint Race. He impressively gained four places to finish fourth in the sprint.
In the Feature Race on Sunday, Kush started from third, took the lead early on, and controlled the race with strong pace and tire management. After a pit stop, he engaged in a tough battle with the championship leader, ultimately finishing third for his second podium of the season.
Elder brother Arjun Maini, racing in the DTM Championship with a Ford Mustang GT3, also had a good weekend at the Norisring circuit. He qualified third for both races and secured his first podium finish of the season with third place in Race 1 on Saturday.
In Race 2 on Sunday, despite carrying extra weight due to his podium finish, Arjun finished fourth in the rain-affected race, narrowly missing another podium.
