A man in Giridih, Jharkhand, reportedly used a sharp weapon to kill his three minor daughters on Monday morning. The accused was promptly apprehended following the incident. The tragic event occurred in Turukdih village under the jurisdiction of the Mufassil police station in Giridih, causing shock and fear in the community.
The victims have been identified as Pallavi Yadav, aged 14, and her six-year-old twin sisters, Riddhi Yadav and Siddhi Yadav. According to the police, the father, Nandu Yadav, suddenly became violent in the morning and fatally attacked his daughters inside their home with a sharp weapon, resulting in their immediate deaths. Upon hearing the children’s cries, family members rushed to the scene, but the assailant continued his assault.
Local witnesses mentioned that the man’s wife and son managed to escape unharmed by moving to another part of the house during the tragic incident. The brutal killings plunged the entire village into grief, attracting a large crowd of residents as the news spread rapidly. Law enforcement officials, including Mufassil police station in-charge Shyam Kishore Mahto and Sadar SDPO Jitwahan Oraon, arrived at the village with a police team upon receiving the information. The accused was swiftly taken into custody to prevent any retaliation from the enraged locals.
