A man has passed away in the hospital, and four other men are in serious condition after an alleged shooting in southwest Sydney. Police responded to the incident at Liverpool Hospital, where two men in their 20s arrived with multiple wounds. Tragically, one of the men succumbed to his injuries shortly after treatment, while the other remains stable.

Two more men were later admitted to Fairfield Hospital in critical condition, and another man presented himself at Liverpool Hospital in a stable state for treatment. Authorities have cordoned off a crime scene at a residence in Canley Heights, located about 30 km west of Sydney’s central business district. The incident is believed to be linked to organized crime networks, as reported by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

Detective Superintendent Craig Middleton confirmed that police are searching for two males who entered the premises before gunshots were heard. A crime scene has been established at a house in Arbutus St in Canley Heights, with the NSW homicide squad detectives seizing two vehicles used to transport the injured men. A gang conflict has erupted in the city’s west this year, with rival groups engaging in shootings and firebombings of properties associated with gang members.

Personal belongings like clothes and shoes were found scattered in the garage of the home as investigators gathered evidence.
