Manvir Singh’s remarkable first-half goal from his own half helped Namdhari SC secure a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Sreenidi Deccan FC in the Indian Football League (IFL) 2025-26 at the Deccan Arena. Despite the draw, the Deccan Warriors climbed to second place in the standings, while Namdhari earned a crucial away point. Hadi Idrissou was named Player of the Match for his pivotal equalizer.
Sreenidi Deccan’s head coach, Carlos Manuel Vaz Pinto, fielded an unchanged starting XI, while Namdhari’s head coach, Harpreet Singh, made two changes, bringing in Manvir Singh and Mohammad Sajid Dhot. The hosts dominated possession with 85% control but struggled to convert chances into goals, lacking the cutting edge in the final third.
In the 31st minute, Namdhari surprised Sreenidi by scoring through Manvir Singh’s exceptional long-range strike from well beyond the halfway line. Despite Sreenidi’s efforts in the second half, it was a corner from substitute Brandon Vanlalremdika that led to Hadi Idrissou’s clinical finish in the 79th minute, leveling the score.
Sreenidi pressed on in the closing stages, creating close-range opportunities, but Namdhari’s goalkeeper, Niraj Kumar, made crucial saves to maintain the draw. With resolute defending, Namdhari held firm during added time, securing a hard-earned point on the road against a persistent Sreenidi Deccan side.
