Marathi actress Nivedita Saraf recently marked 37 years of marriage with her husband, veteran star Ashok Saraf. Nivedita expressed her love and gratitude towards Ashok, referring to him as her best friend, strength, and eternal love. Ashok Saraf, a renowned figure in Marathi and Hindi cinema as well as theatre, tied the knot with Nivedita in 1990. The couple has a son named Aniket Saraf. Ashok gained fame in the 1990s through successful films like ‘Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi’, ‘Dhum Dhadaka’, and ‘Balache Baap Brahmachari’, among others. Notably, his role in the popular show ‘Hum Paanch’ made him a household name, starring alongside actors like Vidya Balan.
Nivedita Saraf, who began her acting career at a young age, made her mark in Marathi cinema with her debut leading role in ‘Navri Mile Navryala’, where she starred opposite Ashok Saraf. She also ventured into Hindi films with projects like ‘Narsimha’ and ‘King Uncle’. Her performance in the 1994 film ‘Majha Chakula’ received critical acclaim. After a break, she returned to acting in the Marathi serial ‘Bandhan’ in 2006.
Earlier this year, the couple made their first appearance at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, showcasing their enduring bond and shared passion for the entertainment industry.
