Veteran actress Meenakshi Seshadri recently revisited a cherished moment by recreating the song “Jaane Do Mujhe Jaana Hai” from the movie Shahenshah, originally filmed almost four decades ago with Amitabh Bachchan. In a tribute to her memorable yellow outfit, she shared a video on Instagram donning a similar ensemble paired with blue accessories from the original song. Meenakshi highlighted that the original sequence was shot in the picturesque locations of Ooty and reminisced about her first on-screen role opposite Amitabh Bachchan.
Recreating the essence of the original choreography that blended dance and comedy in Ooty, Meenakshi expressed her joy in maintaining the same spirit in her recent reel. She emphasized the significance of the yellow outfit with blue accessories, stating that it was her first movie role alongside Amitabh Bachchan. The actress aimed to capture the same energy and excitement that characterized the iconic song from “Shahenshah,” a 1988 action film featuring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.
“Shahenshah” was a vigilante hero film produced and directed by Tinnu Anand, with the story penned by Jaya Bachchan and the script by Inder Raj Anand. The movie, which marked Amitabh Bachchan’s comeback after a hiatus due to his political involvement, also starred renowned actors like Pran, Amrish Puri, Prem Chopra, Sharat Saxena, and Murad in supporting roles.
