A member of the Rajesh Bawania gang was apprehended by the Delhi Police Special Cell following an encounter in Bawana, Delhi. Ankit Mann, associated with the gang, was injured in a gunfire exchange during the operation. Mann, a resident of Bajitpur, Bawana, faced charges including extortion and Arms Act violations.
In the same incident, a police officer sustained a gunshot wound and is currently receiving medical treatment. Meanwhile, another gunfight occurred in Delhi’s Ghazipur area, leading to the arrest of two criminals, Amin and Mohammad Danish, both wanted individuals from Jafrabad. The police recovered three pistols and 11 live cartridges from the arrested suspects.
Earlier in the week, a separate encounter in Dwarka, Delhi, resulted in the arrest of two shooters involved in a firing incident. The exchange of fire took place in Aya Nagar, with both suspects sustaining leg injuries. The operation was conducted by the Delhi Police Crime Branch.
