The Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, recently inaugurated the ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ Wall at the University of Peace in San Jose, Costa Rica. This wall symbolizes India’s ancient philosophy of ‘World is One Family’. Margherita also honored Mahatma Gandhi at the same venue, emphasizing his message of peace and non-violence.
In addition to the inauguration, Margherita participated in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative by planting a sapling in Costa Rica. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a greener and sustainable world. Furthermore, the Minister inaugurated a new office center of Feuji, an Indian IT Deep Tech company, in Costa Rica.
During his visit, Margherita attended the swearing-in ceremony of Costa Rica’s newly-elected President Laura Fernandez. Expressing warm greetings on behalf of India, he wished the President and the Government of Costa Rica success in serving their people. India and Costa Rica share friendly relations, with a focus on enhancing commercial ties between the two nations.
Margherita’s official visit to Costa Rica, Honduras, Belize, and Commonwealth of Dominica from May 8-15 aims to strengthen diplomatic relations and cooperation between these countries.
