Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita, currently touring the Caribbean region, has arrived in Belize. Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome extended by the Government of Belize, Margherita looks forward to a productive visit in the capital, Belmopan.
During his stay in Belize, Margherita is scheduled to engage with Belizean government officials and explore India’s developmental projects in the country. This visit follows his recent trip to Honduras, where he engaged with the Indian community and ITEC alumni, emphasizing their role in strengthening bilateral relations.
In Honduras, Margherita met with Foreign Minister Mireya Aguero to discuss the progress in bilateral relations and reinforce the commitment to mutual cooperation. Additionally, he held discussions with Honduras’ First Vice President, Maria Antonieta Mejia, focusing on strategies to enhance the existing ties between the two nations.
Furthering his diplomatic efforts, Margherita also met with Honduras’ Secretary of Culture, Arts, and Heritage, Yasser Handal Carcamo, to explore avenues for enhancing cultural exchanges and people-to-people connections.
