The Ministry of Civil Aviation, in partnership with Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), has introduced AIR SUVIDHA 2.0, a contactless Passenger Health Self-Declaration Portal. This initiative aims to bolster public health surveillance at international Points of Entry, particularly in light of concerns surrounding the ongoing Ebola disease outbreak. The upgraded platform is a response to the World Health Organization’s declaration of the Ebola/Bundibugyo virus disease outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.
The current outbreak has been identified as Bundibugyo virus disease (BVD), with neighboring countries like South Sudan considered high-risk areas for potential transmission. The portal, developed in collaboration with the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, mandates international arriving passengers to submit an online Health Self-Declaration. This declaration covers a 21-day travel history, exposure details, and any related symptoms before immigration clearance.
AIR SUVIDHA 2.0 is designed to streamline health monitoring processes for passengers entering India while ensuring a seamless experience. The upgraded system facilitates real-time sharing of passenger data with various agencies, including the Airport Health Officer and State Surveillance Officers. This integrated data-sharing mechanism enables authorities to promptly identify at-risk travelers and implement necessary public health measures, all in a contactless manner.
Passengers are encouraged to complete the Air Suvidha Self Declaration Form (SDF) up to 24 hours before their arrival in India. It is recommended that international travelers fill out the form during web check-in to expedite processing and clearance upon landing. Once the declaration is finalized, passengers only need to present the downloaded Self Declaration Form at the International Travel Health Desk or the Immigration Counter, streamlining arrival procedures and reducing delays.
To ensure passenger safety and public health, all international travelers are urged to accurately complete their Self-Declaration in advance.
