Mithun Chakraborty’s cinematic journey has been remarkable, starting with his debut in the 1976 film “Mrigayaa,” directed by Mrinal Sen, which won him the National Film Award for Best Actor. However, it was his role in the 1982 movie “Disco Dancer” that catapulted him to national and international fame, earning him the moniker “Disco King” for his dynamic dance performances.
Apart from his on-screen success, Mithun Chakraborty is a family man, married to actress Yogeeta Bali, with whom he shares four children, including actors Mimoh (Mahakshay), Ushmey, Namashi, and Dishani. He is also the father-in-law of actress Madalsa Sharma, known for her role as Kavya in the popular show “Anupamaa.”
