Panic gripped Deoghar district in Jharkhand as a mother and her son were discovered murdered in Nawadih village under Sonaraithari police station. Authorities have initiated a murder investigation into the suspicious deaths. Superintendent of Police Praveen Pushkar visited the scene, accompanied by a forensic team and a dog squad to gather evidence.
The victims have been identified as Jubeda Khatoon and her son. Following a tip-off from villagers, local police and teams from four police stations were deployed for assistance in the inquiry. The area was sealed off, and a search operation commenced. Post-mortem examinations have been scheduled for the bodies, with forensic evidence being collected.
Police are questioning local residents to determine the motive behind the killings, considering various angles such as family disputes, old enmities, and property issues. The incident has reignited fear in the village, with authorities urging calm among residents. Family members are demanding swift apprehension of the perpetrators.
SP Praveen Pushkar assured that a thorough investigation is underway, utilizing technical and forensic evidence, as well as information from locals. The culprits are expected to be apprehended soon.
