In the Greater Noida dowry death case, police have arrested Deepika Nagar’s mother-in-law, Poonam, making it a total of four arrests in the incident. Poonam’s arrest was the second on Wednesday. Earlier, Vinod, the uncle of Deepika’s husband Hrithik, was also taken into custody. The arrests include Hrithik, his father Manoj, mother Poonam, and uncle Vinod.
The tragic incident unfolded in Greater Noida’s Ecotech-3 area in Uttar Pradesh, where Deepika died under suspicious circumstances. Allegations from the deceased’s family point to dowry harassment by her in-laws as the cause.
