Bhopal, Aug 17 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh government has proposed 11 industrial parks covering more than 9,000 acres under the Centre’s BHAVYA (Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna) scheme, with a total estimated project cost of Rs 8,144.35 crore, the state government said on Monday.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav presented the proposals at the third meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) in New Delhi.

The proposed industrial parks cover 9,047.08 acres and are planned with plug‑and‑play infrastructure to make them investment‑ready and facilitate the setting up of industries, according to the government.

“The state government is continuously working to develop modern industrial infrastructure, implement investment‑friendly policies and provide plug‑and‑play facilities to industries,” Yadav said during his presentation.

The 11 proposed projects are Avantika Industrial Center in Ujjain, Bhensola in Dhar, Piplarawan‑Palikalan in Dewas‑Shajapur, IR Ratlam‑Palsodi, Ashta Industrial Cluster in Sehore, Maswasi Grant in Sagar, Chainpura in Guna, Mohana in Gwalior, Dharampura in Jabalpur, Simra in Katni and Shivsagar in Rewa.

The Bhensola project has been proposed as a textile park and will be developed as an extension of the PM MITRA Park in Dhar, with facilities covering the textile value chain, the government said.

The other proposed parks are expected to facilitate investments in pharmaceuticals, automobiles, renewable energy equipment, semiconductors, IT and ITeS sectors. The government said these projects would create direct and indirect employment opportunities.

Madhya Pradesh is also developing facilities to improve women’s participation in industrial areas. These include day‑care centres, CCTV‑based security, healthcare facilities, canteens and hostels.

“We aim to establish Madhya Pradesh as a major industrial and investment hub by expanding industrial infrastructure and creating a conducive environment for investors,” Yadav said in a statement.

The chief minister also highlighted industrial corridors and nodes being developed with support from the Centre and their role in accelerating industrial investment in the state.

Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Ministers Sarbananda Sonowal and Piyush Goyal, and NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Ashok Kumar Lahiri attended the meeting.
