Amid allegations of a leaked question paper for the Maharashtra Public Service Commission’s Drug Inspector recruitment exam, the MPSC has issued a clarification. Two candidates raised concerns two days before the exam, leading to demands for an inquiry by the candidates.
MPSC Secretary Mahendra Harpalkar mentioned that one complainant retracted grievances in an email. An official police complaint will be filed, and MPSC is investigating the matter. The offline screening exam took place on March 22, 2026, with interviews conducted from July 1 to 22, 2026.
Harpalkar revealed that a complaint on July 21 alleged a leaked answer key/question paper. MPSC asked for more evidence due to the vague complaint. Both the complainant and the candidate involved in the alleged leak were summoned but did not appear. The Commission is taking the matter seriously and will file an official complaint with the police.
NCP (SP), Congress, and Shiv Sena UBT raised concerns over the exam paper leak. NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar detailed the alleged leak via WhatsApp on March 20, 2026. He presented WhatsApp chat transcripts during a press conference, highlighting instructions given to candidates.
