In a move to boost economic prosperity and inclusion through the PM Vishwakarma (PMV) Scheme, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has introduced the One Station One Product (OSOP) initiative. This initiative aims to offer specialized market access to Divyangjan Vishwakarma artisans, helping them expand their reach and enhance sales for sustainable livelihoods. The Ministry has set up exclusive retail outlets at major railway stations nationwide, allowing these artisans to directly showcase and sell their products to customers.

The OSOP initiative is designed to enhance market access, increase product visibility, and create sustainable income opportunities for artisans. Across 12 states and Union Territories, a total of 28 Divyangjan beneficiaries from various traditional trades have been provided with retail stalls under this initiative. These beneficiaries include cobblers, sculptors, carpenters, doll and toy makers, metal smiths, basket makers, and tailors.

Sculptors and doll and toy makers have received the highest number of allotments under the OSOP initiative, with six stalls each. Additionally, cobblers and carpenters have been allotted five stalls each, while metal smiths, basket makers, and tailors have received two stalls each. The government emphasizes that besides strengthening livelihoods, this initiative is fostering economic inclusion and financial independence among Divyangjan artisans.

One of the beneficiaries, Atul, a Divyang sculptor specializing in crystal-based statues and utility products, was allocated a retail outlet at Platform No. 1 of Indore Railway Station after registering under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme and undergoing skill training. Since its launch in January 2026, Atul’s outlet has seen positive customer response and a steady increase in sales. Another beneficiary, Ajeet Sharma, a Divyang metalsmith from Jharkhand, earned around Rs 19,000 within just 15 days of operating his retail outlet near Deoghar Railway Station, showcasing the initiative’s potential to create sustainable income opportunities.
