The Culture Minister of Maharashtra and former BCCI Treasurer, Ashish Shelar, announced Bhosle’s passing outside the hospital, revealing that her last rites will take place at Shivaji Park on Monday at 4 pm. Asha Bhosle, the younger sister of the iconic Lata Mangeshkar, received several accolades during her illustrious career, including Grammy nominations and prestigious Indian honors like the Dadasaheb Phalke award and the Padma Vibhushan.
Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who shared a close bond with Asha Bhosle, expressed his grief on social media, praising her soulful music that will endure. Tendulkar described Bhosle as family and highlighted the profound impact of her timeless melodies on music lovers worldwide.
