Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio emphasized the importance of pan-Naga unity and urged the government to quickly resolve the longstanding Naga political issue. Speaking at the Lui-Ngai-Ni celebration, Rio highlighted unity and faith as crucial elements for progress and lasting peace.
The festival, organized by the United Naga Council and hosted by the Tangkhul Naga Long, was described by the Chief Minister as more than a cultural event but a reaffirmation of Naga identity, heritage, and shared destiny. Rio emphasized that Naga traditions and cultural expressions reflect the community’s values and worldview.
Rio stressed that despite administrative divisions, the Naga people are emotionally and culturally connected as one family. He called for a pan-Naga platform to represent common aspirations and acknowledged the merger of political parties as a significant step towards unity. The Chief Minister also reiterated the demand for the integration of Naga-inhabited areas under one administrative setup.
