The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) held a State-Level Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) meeting in Jaipur to enhance cooperation among enforcement agencies in Rajasthan against drug trafficking. Chaired by NCB’s Deputy Director General (Western Region) and Rajasthan’s Inspector General of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), the meeting included representatives from various central and state agencies like NIA, DRI, CBIC, IB, and more.
Officials at the meeting assessed the progress of the Vision Document on Narcotics Control and discussed the evolving trends in drug trafficking in Rajasthan. They also focused on expediting legal proceedings for 50 cases under the NDPS Act, strengthening financial investigations, and disrupting organized drug networks through better inter-agency collaboration.
The agencies present reviewed recent narcotics seizures and important cases, emphasizing intelligence-based joint operations, coordinated interrogations, and timely sharing of information. Additionally, they discussed public awareness campaigns and de-addiction initiatives to combat the rising drug issue effectively.
The meeting concluded with actionable directives to enforce the Vision Document on Drug Control and enhance the joint response of enforcement agencies against drug trafficking in Rajasthan. The agencies reiterated their dedication to achieving a Drug-Free India through sustained cooperation and coordinated efforts.
