The National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) digital marketplace has successfully integrated 1,656 mandis nationwide and onboarded more than 1.80 crore farmers, 2.73 lakh traders, and 4,724 Farmer-Producer Organisations. Over the past decade, the platform has facilitated trade amounting to 13.25 crore metric tonnes valued at Rs. 4.84 lakh crore until March 2026.
The government extends financial aid of up to Rs 75 lakh per mandi to enhance infrastructure, bolster digital integration of mandis, and enhance market efficiency. Notably, the e-NAM app now offers mobile-based price information for 247 commodities, aiding stakeholders in making well-informed decisions promptly.
e-NAM’s digital ecosystem supports the entire agricultural trade cycle, including digital gate entry, lot creation with unique identifiers, quality assessment, online bidding, real-time bid tracking, price discovery, and direct electronic payments to farmers’ bank accounts. This comprehensive approach aims to streamline agricultural trade processes and ensure transparency.
National Agriculture Market broadens farmers’ access to a wider buyer base, enhancing opportunities for better price realization. By promoting the adoption of formal digital payment systems, the platform contributes to increased financial inclusion and transactional efficiency in the agricultural marketing sector. The network’s expansion signifies growing market integration, with connected mandis increasing from 1,389 in 2024 to 1,656 by March 2026.
The platform also offers an online grievance redressal system, enabling users to submit queries and complaints directly through the portal. This integrated support mechanism ensures timely issue resolution and continuous technical assistance, particularly benefiting farmers and new users navigating the digital marketplace.
