National champion Tilottama Sen displayed exceptional form in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions event at the National Selection Trials T1 for Group A held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi. She emerged victorious in the competition, while Niraj Kumar from the Navy secured the top position in the men’s category. In the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol T1 event, Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu claimed the first spot.
Tilottama Sen, who recently clinched 11 medals in the 68th National Shooting Championship, triumphed in the 50m 3P final under the new ISSF format. She finished ahead of Ashi Chouskey with a narrow lead of 0.6, scoring 360.1 compared to Ashi’s 359.5. Manini Kaushik from Rajasthan secured the third position with a final score of 347.5.
In the men’s field, Navy’s Niraj Kumar delivered a consistent performance throughout the finals, finishing at the top with a score of 360.5. This was 3.6 points higher than Adriyan Karmakar from West Bengal, who scored 356.9. Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, the National Champion representing Madhya Pradesh, claimed the third spot with a score of 346.7.
Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu from Punjab emerged victorious in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol T1 event, scoring 29 in the finals, surpassing Vijayveer Sidhu who scored 27. Mandeep Singh from Haryana secured the third position after a shoot-off against National Champion Suraj Sharma. The remaining finalists included Udayveer Sidhu, Neeraj Kumar, Omkar Singh, and Ankur Goel.
