Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President Naveen Patnaik, also the Leader of Opposition in Odisha Assembly, criticized the state government for the deteriorating law and order situation. Patnaik expressed concern over a brutal public assault on a couple in Berhampur, labeling the state as under ‘goonda raj’ instead of BJP rule.

Patnaik condemned the inhuman attack on the young man and woman in Berhampur, emphasizing its impact on the people of Odisha. He questioned the effectiveness of the police administration and the rule of law under the current government.

The BJD leader called for immediate action against criminals and criticized the government for failing to ensure the safety of ordinary citizens. He urged the BJP-led state government to address the escalating lawlessness and protect the people from criminal activities.

Patnaik highlighted a recent incident in Berhampur where a youth and his female friend were brutally assaulted, sparking outrage and raising concerns about the prevailing law and order situation in the state.
