Actress and producer Nayanthara, honored with the Tamil Nadu State Film award for Best Actress in 2017 for her role in ‘Aramm’, has shared her thanks to the government. She took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the recognition, showcasing pictures with the three State Awards received. Nayanthara won one award for acting and two as a producer for ‘Netrikann’ and ‘Koozhangal’ under @therowdypictures.
‘Aramm’, directed by Gopi Nainar, depicted a gripping narrative about a district collector’s efforts to rescue a child trapped in a borewell accidentally. The film shed light on rural struggles for basic necessities due to bureaucratic hurdles and corruption. Nayanthara portrayed the character of district collector Mathivathani in the movie.
Nayanthara is actively engaged in various projects as both a producer and an actress. Her upcoming film ‘Patriot’, helmed by Mahesh Narayanan, features renowned Malayalam stars Mammootty and Mohanlal, alongside other notable actors like Fahadh Faasil and Kunchacko Boban. The movie is set to release worldwide on April 23 this year, marking the reunion of Mammootty and Mohanlal after 18 years.
