NCP-SP legislator Rohit Pawar criticized the Maharashtra government and MahaYuti alliance for allegedly concealing the truth behind former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s death in a plane crash. Expressing disappointment, Rohit Pawar highlighted the lack of justice for Ajit Pawar, a leader with over 22 years of service to the state. He questioned the priorities of NCP MLAs under Ajit Pawar’s leadership, accusing them of prioritizing “funds and power” over seeking justice for their late party leader.
Rohit Pawar also criticized the state government for not registering an FIR related to Ajit Pawar’s death despite his efforts to approach various authorities. Frustrated by the lack of action, he traveled to Bengaluru where he successfully filed a Zero FIR regarding the incident, drawing a comparison to a similar case in Karnataka. The FIR in Ajit Pawar’s death case has been transferred to Maharashtra DGP Sadanand Vasant Date by Karnataka DGP M.A. Saleem.
Challenging the state government, Rohit Pawar raised concerns about VSR Aviation, the company operating the aircraft in which Ajit Pawar was traveling. He claimed that the aircraft provided to Ajit Pawar was in extremely poor condition, alleging that the company’s actions led to the cancellation of a tender for new aircraft in 2023. Rohit Pawar urged the authorities to expedite the probe into Ajit Pawar’s death, emphasizing the need for timely action in the case.
