The NDA alliance showed strength in the Puducherry Assembly election results, with significant wins and early trends favoring them over the Congress-led front. BJP candidate A. Namassivayam secured a clear victory in the Mannadipet constituency, defeating the Congress rival by 6,110 votes, marking an improvement from the previous election.
Chief Minister N. Rangasamy retained his position in Thattanchavady with a win margin of 4,441 votes, solidifying the AINRC’s role within the NDA alliance. The alliance led in 13 seats out of the 30-member Assembly, indicating a comfortable lead.
While the AINRC contributed significantly to the NDA’s performance, the Congress-led alliance faced challenges with leads in only six seats. Independents and smaller parties also made an impact, with some leading in constituencies, potentially influencing the final results.
