The NDMC’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, made its way to Gole Market led by Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal. Chahal, while spearheading the plantation drive at Government Employees RWA in Gole Market, emphasized the campaign’s emotional and social significance.
This initiative aims to raise environmental awareness and instill a sense of responsibility among individuals, ensuring a greener future. NDMC has introduced a dedicated “Sunday Green Calendar” for the year, organizing plantation drives every Sunday at various locations to promote sustainable practices.
Chahal highlighted the collaborative efforts of NDMC’s departments for scientific plantation and long-term maintenance of saplings. Aligned with PM Modi’s vision of “Viksit Bharat @2047,” these green initiatives prioritize clean surroundings and active public engagement. Through initiatives like #EkPedMaaKeNaam_OnSunday, NDMC is fostering a collective environmental responsibility among citizens.
RWA representatives, along with local residents, actively participated in the plantation drive, raising maintenance concerns that Chahal promptly addressed. With ongoing public support, NDMC aims to enhance its endeavors for a cleaner, greener, and environmentally sustainable area.
