Actress Neetu Chandra has expressed concerns about the current state of Bhojpuri cinema, emphasizing the need for immediate transformation. In a recent interview, she highlighted the industry’s lack of a promising future, questioning the scarcity of films, limited theatrical releases, and absence on OTT platforms. Chandra urged Bhojpuri filmmakers to focus on producing meaningful content that reflects societal values and uplifts the industry’s reputation.

Neetu Chandra appealed to filmmakers to create at least one film that upholds family values and garners respect, amidst a sea of mediocre productions. She lamented the stagnation of Bhojpuri cinema compared to other regional industries that have gained global recognition, citing the success of Marathi, Gujarati, and Konkani films at prestigious platforms like the Oscars. The actress stressed the importance of offering quality cinema to audiences from all walks of life, underscoring the responsibility of filmmakers in delivering enriching content.

Highlighting the disparity between Bhojpuri cinema and other regional film industries, Neetu Chandra underscored the need for a balance between commercial success and artistic excellence. She emphasized the audience’s right to quality entertainment, urging filmmakers to cater to diverse viewer preferences and elevate the standard of content production. Neetu Chandra is set to appear in the upcoming movie “Aakhri Sawaal,” featuring Sanjay Dutt, Sameera Reddy, and other prominent actors. The film is backed by Nikhil Nanda and Dhanraj Nathwani, with production credits shared among Nikhil Nanda, Sanjay Dutt, and a team of co-producers.
