The newly appointed Convener of the Rajasthan Cricket Association’s (RCA) Ad-hoc Committee, Mohit Yadav, has pledged to conduct long-pending RCA elections promptly. Yadav emphasized the need for reforms to enhance the RCA’s operations and vision, aiming for visible improvements soon.
Yadav acknowledged differences with the former convener but stressed the importance of ensuring uninterrupted cricketing activities. He highlighted the formation of a new Ad-hoc Committee, comprising key members who have assumed their roles, with a primary focus on expediting the overdue RCA elections.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the limited IPL matches allotted to Rajasthan this season, Yadav assured better planning to secure more matches in the future. Additionally, efforts will be made to host the Rajasthan Premier League (RPL) locally, enhancing cricket opportunities in the state.
Senior committee member Dhananjay Singh Khimsar expressed confidence in the new leadership under Mohit Yadav. Khimsar emphasized the need to move past disputes and controversies, signaling a fresh start for the RCA with the upcoming elections.
Committee member Ashish Tiwari defended the appointments against criticism, stating that all members were democratically elected through the district-level process. Tiwari dismissed allegations regarding the presence of politicians’ sons in the setup, emphasizing that such backgrounds do not diminish individuals’ rights.
With the new Ad-hoc Committee in place, expectations are high for early elections and improved cricket administration in Rajasthan, potentially heralding a new era for the sport in the state.
