Days after assuming office as the Governor of West Bengal, R.N. Ravi has initiated actions to expedite administrative processes. The Raj Bhavan has requested the state secretariat Nabanna to fill crucial vacancies promptly, emphasizing the need to address long-standing vacant positions. Specifically, requests have been made for an IAS officer to serve as the Governor’s Secretary and other key administrative roles.
In a bid to enhance operational efficiency, the Raj Bhavan is aiming to appoint individuals to five significant administrative positions. The state administration anticipates a prompt decision from Nabanna regarding the recommended officers. Notably, the Raj Bhavan had faced a structural void in its administrative setup following recent controversies and prolonged vacancies in key roles.
The recent push to fill these vacancies is seen as a pivotal move by the new Governor to streamline operations at the Raj Bhavan and improve coordination with Nabanna. The appointment of suitable candidates to these key positions is expected to bolster administrative effectiveness and governance in the region.
