A strong performance by New Zealand’s pace bowlers has been highlighted in the latest update of the ICC Men’s T20I Bowling Rankings. The T20I series between New Zealand and South Africa has seen significant shifts in rankings due to the players’ performances in the first four matches. Lockie Ferguson, with a match-winning spell in Auckland, climbed 12 places to joint 39th among T20I bowlers.
Experienced quicks like Ben Sears, Kyle Jamieson, and Zakary Foulkes also made notable gains in the rankings following consistent displays. South Africa’s bowlers, including stand-in skipper Keshav Maharaj, Ottneil Baartman, and Gerald Coetzee, also saw improvements in their rankings. All-rounder George Linde moved up one position to 22nd after contributing with both bat and ball.
Sikandar Raza maintained his top position in the T20I all-rounder rankings, while minimal changes were observed in the batting charts. Abhishek Sharma leads the T20I batting rankings, followed by Ishan Kishan. Suryakumar Yadav, the T20I World Cup-winning captain, climbed two places to seventh. Tim Seifert and Dewald Brevis dropped in the rankings due to missing matches, while Tim Robinson moved up to 34th after a solid performance in Wellington.
