Niki Prasad, the captain of the 2025 U19 Women’s T20 World Cup-winning team, expressed her joy at lifting the trophy for the second time. The BCCI recently honored the champion sides, including Prasad’s team, at an awards ceremony in New Delhi.

Recalling the special moment, Prasad emphasized the pride she felt in representing India and witnessing other Indian teams secure victories. She credited the BCCI’s focus on youth cricket for the team’s success, highlighting the importance of continued support for future growth.

Looking ahead, Prasad, who plays for Delhi Capitals and Karnataka, expressed her ambition to win more trophies for India at the senior level. She also mentioned seeking insights from senior players like Harmanpreet Kaur to enhance her own performance and shared her appreciation for the world-class facilities at the CoE in Bangalore.
